It appears precisely in this week\u2019s Parashah.<br \/>\nHow many times have we felt cursed in our lives\u2014when everything bad seems to pile up and crash down on us like an avalanche? Why is this happening to me? we ask ourselves, and there is no way to understand it, no light or sign showing us how to find a way out.<\/p>\n<p>In the story we read this week in the Torah, the king of Moab, Balak, hires the famous sorcerer Bilaam to curse Am Israel. However, every attempt failed, and in the end the curse was transformed into a blessing. And not just any blessing, but one of the most beautiful in the entire Tanakh: \u201cHow lovely are your tents, O Jacob, your dwellings, O Israel\u2026\u201d\u2014words that are recited daily in the morning prayers of countless synagogues.<\/p>\n<p>Because no matter how cursed you may feel at any given moment, behind the worst anguish lies the most beautiful blessing, as David HaMelech said in his Psalms: \u201cWeeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It may be very dark today and you may not see it yet, but the light will come\u2014this is certain.
