Nas\u00f3 nos ense\u00f1a que como seres \u00fanicos e irrepetibles, D\u2019os est\u00e1 interesado en cada uno de nosotros como individuo principalmente. Cada uno cuenta, nadie sobra, nadie es una repetici\u00f3n, y aunque muchas veces hacemos las mismas cosas, nunca ser\u00e1n iguales a las acciones del otro.<\/p>\n

\nEVERYONE COUNTS<\/p>\n
From the previous Parashah and continuing into this week\u2019s, we read endless lists of censuses, inventories, roles of the Levites and the Kohanim, and more.<\/p>\n
In Naso, we now read the description of the offerings brought during the inauguration of the Mishkan. After Moshe received the instructions on how to build this sanctuary, during the second year after the Exodus from Egypt, the Mishkan was finally inaugurated on the first day of the month of Nisan. The leader of each tribe brought the same type of offering each day\u2014described over and over again in what seems like an endless list.<\/p>\n
Wouldn’t it have been easier to describe the offering just once and mention that each of the 12 leaders brought the same one on different days? It would have saved quite a few words.<\/p>\n
However, the Parashah wants to teach us that even though all the offerings were exactly the same, each individual matters, and each person\u2019s intention is unique and unrepeatable. The same is true when we perform Mitzvot. Take the Amidah prayer, for example: we all say the same words, but we don’t all think the same things while praying. Our emotions, focus, and fervor differ from person to person, and even within ourselves throughout the year and over time. Our interpretation of what we read and what it says to us is also different.<\/p>\n
Naso teaches us that as unique and unrepeatable beings, God is primarily interested in each of us as individuals. Everyone counts, no one is extra, no one is a copy, and even though we may often do the same things, our actions are never identical to those of another.<\/p>\n
