        "rendered": "<pre>English translation found below<\/pre>\n<p>Iniciamos un nuevo libro de la Tor\u00e1, Shemot, en donde se nos relatan las maravillosas historias relacionadas con la salida de los israelitas de Egipto y su redenci\u00f3n de la esclavitud. La Tor\u00e1 nos cuenta en esta Parash\u00e1 los or\u00edgenes de Mosh\u00e9 como l\u00edder y sus conflictos internos.<\/p>\n<p>En un episodio bastante conocido gracias al cine, Mosh\u00e9 se encuentra hablando con Dios frente a una zarza ardiente, un arbusto del desierto que se encuentra en llamas y a pesar de eso no se quema. Nuestros sabios, de bendita memoria, comparan a este arbusto con Am Israel, que a pesar de las persecuciones, el exilio y el sufrimiento, el fuego no consigue destruirlo, por el contrario se convierte en el veh\u00edculo a trav\u00e9s del cual Dios comunica su mensaje.<\/p>\n<p>De aqu\u00ed podemos aprender cada uno de nosotros cu\u00e1les son las cualidades necesarias para convertirse en un instrumento de Dios. La zarza es un arbusto que poco tiene de atractivo, es peque\u00f1o, no muy frondoso, pero a\u00fan as\u00ed sobrevive en el desierto. La humildad, representada en la zarza y tambi\u00e9n en la figura de Mosh\u00e9 Rabenu, son la caracter\u00edstica principal que busca el Santo, Bendito Sea, en cada uno de nosotros. Sin humildad es imposible percibir la Divinidad.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, nadie logra realmente conectarse con su alma superior sino es a trav\u00e9s del fuego. Los sabios tambi\u00e9n comparan a la Tor\u00e1 con el fuego, es decir, ya sea a trav\u00e9s del fuego de la prueba o a trav\u00e9s del fuego de la Tor\u00e1, podremos escuchar la voz de Dios y entender nuestra misi\u00f3n y el prop\u00f3sito de nuestra vida.<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u00e9 tipo de fuego nos vaya a recordar nuestra humilde naturaleza, es muchas veces nuestra decisi\u00f3n. As\u00ed como Mosh\u00e9 descubri\u00f3 su misi\u00f3n y el potencial de su grandeza frente a la zarza ardiente; as\u00ed nosotros podamos ser humildes para llegar a ser grandes.<\/p>\n<p>Shabat Shalom umevoraj!<br \/>\nRab. Yaakov Rodriguez<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Burning Without Being Consumed<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"36\" data-end=\"302\">We begin a new book of the Torah, <em data-start=\"70\" data-end=\"78\">Shemot<\/em>, in which we are told the wondrous stories related to the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and their redemption from slavery. In this parashah, the Torah recounts the origins of Moshe as a leader and his inner struggles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"691\">In an episode well known thanks to cinema, Moshe finds himself speaking with God before a burning bush\u2014a desert shrub that is aflame and yet is not consumed. Our sages, of blessed memory, compare this bush to <em data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"524\">Am Israel<\/em>, which, despite persecutions, exile, and suffering, is not destroyed by the fire. On the contrary, the fire becomes the vehicle through which God conveys His message.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"1109\">From this we can learn, each of us, what qualities are necessary to become an instrument of God. The bush is a plant with little outward appeal: it is small, not very lush, and yet it survives in the desert. Humility\u2014represented by the bush and also by the figure of Moshe Rabbeinu\u2014is the primary trait that the Holy One, blessed be He, seeks in each of us. Without humility, it is impossible to perceive the Divine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1403\">On the other hand, no one truly connects with their higher soul except through fire. The sages also compare the Torah to fire\u2014that is, whether through the fire of trial or through the fire of Torah, we are able to hear the voice of God and understand our mission and the purpose of our lives.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1633\">What kind of fire will remind us of our humble nature is, many times, our own choice. Just as Moshe discovered his mission and the potential of his greatness before the burning bush, so may we be humble in order to become great.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2018\" data-end=\"2084\"><strong data-start=\"2018\" data-end=\"2047\">Shabbat Shalom umevorach!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2018\" data-end=\"2084\">Rab.
